Welcome from the Mayor

I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone. We take great pride in being known as “The Friendly Village”.

Elnora is conveniently situated in the heart of central Alberta, just 45 minutes southeast of Red Deer and only 1.5 hours northeast of Calgary. We are a vibrant, growing community with a great k-8 School with award winning teachers and high academic standards. We have wonderful recreation facilities such as ball diamonds, curling club, fitness center, school gymnasium, seniors drop-in  and 23 fully serviced camp sites.

As with most small towns, our strength is in our volunteers. Our many service group help foster the caring nature of our community. We also have a strong Economic Development Board who tirelessly work to support and promote Elnora and the surrounding area.

We have quite a variety of  annual events hosted in our community such as the Brahma Rama, Flower and Bench Show, slow pitch tournament, three on three outdoor hockey tournament, just to mention a few.
